James McCarthy

There’s rumours he’s playing on Saturday.

With him being willing to do the side’s dirty work, he may just be the answer to Silva’s preferred 4-3-3 (where Morgan Schneiderlin is too lazy).

Ok not a long term fix but he could fill that “number 6” roll that Silva’s said his system required but we missed out on in summer.

Let's hope he doesn't get injured and plays well so we can off load the waster.

Not quite what I was suggesting but I do hope he plays well for benefit of the team. He won’t make much money for us so perhaps he can fit Silva’s system.

You have quite a pessimistic outlook there chappie.

He has a good point though, as much as McCarthy can add everything you’ve said; we have wasted so much money on him. He’ll no doubt be injured again soon, best to sell once he’s fit if someone comes in for him.

It will take him till the start of next season to get match fit. No way he starts Saturday. Needs to be eased back in, minutes at a time after such an injury

Have we wasted money? He cost relativley little in today’s terms and his wages will have been covered by insurance while injured.
