Well you walked into a conversation half way over then. The issue was that I was being told that they were the favourites because they had "the best squad".

Dave in some places they were joint third favorites. The finished third. Sounds like they did what was expected. Why is this still being discussed? Is McCarthy somehow now Belgian?

Who cares he won a cup but relegated that club at the sametime. Not winning the WC with the elite squad makes him even less convincing. Sorry he just is not very good.
 
Of ffs, can we keep any Martinez chat in his thread please. At least those of us utterly bored of the Creationist versus Darwinist "debate" know where it is and can avoid it.
