James McCarthy

If /when Gueye goes then McCarthy has to be retained if Silva thinks we need a harrier and chaser in the middle of the park. Certainly Davies doesn't fit the bill. He's too often on the wrong side of the player to put a ball winning tackle in. Delph? Maybe. Williams? Possibly, but won't be given the chance.

Would have been good for us during the Moyes era when we played aids football most of the time, he has no place in a team that wants to play actual football though, primarily because he’s not very good at the football part.

You could say the same thing about Gueye.

8m is good for him and I would accept their first offer . Would be nice to squeeze a bit more but I would fear they would walk away if we asked for 10-12m so for the extra 2-4m I wouldn’t want to risk him leaving for nothing next year and having to pay the 2.5m in wages .

Defo. Any way you choose to look at it, whatever fee we get for him is pure profit. Basically it nullifies most of what we paid for Delph and removes another wage from the bill.

Yep hope Brands doesn't get greedy. Snatch the £8 million and run.

Lads been unlucky but he’s an honest pro. That was an awful injury, made him miss his moment. Can do a good job for a lower half prem team, will never feature for us so move him on.

Hope he does well ...

Coleman has been value for money, but lets have it right, he's pretty basic and wont (and wouldn't have) ever fetch a massive fee.

Stone" Moyes bought him, but do you think for one minute he'd have been wanted by City under the c oaching of Moyes? He'd never have been given the game time or the liberty to play out from the back that Martinez gave him and which enticed City in the first place. The Stones sale cant be put down to Moyes.

lol lol lol I’m absolutely creased at that line, what a backhanded compliment. He’s been worth £60k.

Never change Dave.
