Still not hearing these McCarthy alternatives....the fancy dans who cost London clubs less because they pay them top dollar in wages....leave them aside and who are we looking at lads?

Closest I can get is possibly Rode at Frankfurt and it'd take a hefty sum. Matic as Benfica would almost be a like for like for Felli but not a chance in hell on that one.

Orly my good man, if Fellaini is this world class as you suggest, can you explain why no other club has put a bid in for him, given that you believe he's worth more than the £25 million on offer from utd ?

Why do I think he is worth 25m?

Because I think the market will bear it.

Last day of window.
20m for Jordan Henderson. 30m for Fernandinho. Should be in this ball park? Rated as one of the most effective players in the country last season. Scores goals. Can play DM, CM, AM, and as a striker. Young international, high chance of going to the world cup. We paid 15m for him. Could rightly claim to have improved him.

How many clubs have bid for Wayne Rooney this summer? As far as we know, only Chelsea, and wasn't it 30m at most in the second bid? that's not much more than our structured deal that we sold him for. Is he world class despite two bids from one club? I'd say so.

Do I think he is worth 25m? Maybe, not 100% convinced, would sell him for that, sure. Do I think McCarthy is worth anymore than 8m? No, I don't.

well each prem goal is worth between 1-4 million so Fellani's 12/15 goals that he can get a season he is worth 35m to us all day long maybe more.

Ok 0 then Point is there records at DM scoring goals are hardly miles apart are they?

His stats stand up to a player people rave about (Carrick) so to suggest he's a bad signing is stupid, No he can not play as a forward like Felli but guess what I dont think RM wants him to

But that isn't what I've said?

I've said he's not worth more than 10m and he couldn't be a like-for-like replacement for Fellaini.

Now, 8m and plays alongside Fellaini and Barkley, fair enough.

Best part of that:

Any potential money from the sale of McCarthy could be used to sign Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes, who is the subject of a club record bid from Wigan.

That's right - Wigan will use the money they mug us out of to buy a better player than the one they're selling.
