One of the best individual player performances the Premier League has seen in years last night. Absolutely dominated the game, a player who can be defensive, creative and attacking when needed. The craziest thing? Those who go the game will hopefully agree there's been flashes of this style of play for years. With a bit more quality around him this season, a manager who hypes him at every opportunity, and some much needed new stadium positivity from the fans he's flourished.

Apparently his contract has a year extension option, so that's why there's been no movement yet on a new contract. If we let him go it would put a serious dint in the positive faith the fans have in the Friedkins. Listening to Kinnear and Moyes etc. we're entering phase two of what they're calling a rebuild - given they've publicly said the aim is European football within two years, currently 8th in the table and some stellar performances you'd expect they will tie Garner down in the next few months.

He'll definitely stay, not least because we're a football club finally moving forward and he's, literally, central to that. Fully expect him to commit until 2030.

I'd love our boys to be involved tbh, but unfortunately for them there are too many 'exciting' but not necessarily better players ahead of them

I think he goes unnoticed at times but he is such an intelligent footballer, he plays all over the pitch and he has the heart of a lion! I know the flare players will get the credit but he is becoming one of if not the most important name on the team sheet for me. He is also captain material.
