Is he out of contract in the summer or do we actually have an option for 1 more year?
Bit sloppy of the recruitment team if he’s been allowed to run down his contract.

Hopefully it’s irrelevant and he’s happily lined up for a new 4.5 year contract in the window.

Tuchel was filmed having a word with him at BMD a few weeks ago in the dressing room area.

Sadly.

Not possible really. We can activate another year so if that was his plan we’d just put him on the market this summer.

Think it’s a performance based one, probably on appearances. Weirdly some sites have his contract down as 2027 so maybe it’s already triggered.

Didn't say whether it was performance based, but Boyland put in print that we have a club option for an extra year, so we definitely do.

Keane and Garner this year. The two players who were already here that have stepped it up. Moyes has to take credit here.

He seems to be taking himself more seriously if that makes sense. He's basically come out and said I'm playing in midfield and my position is a number 6 and I'm better than i've been showing. Yes agreed Moyes has to take credit for helping him improve.

Listening to Kinnear and Moyes etc. we're entering phase two of what they're calling a rebuild - given they've publicly said the aim is European football within two years, currently 8th in the table and some stellar performances you'd expect they will tie Garner down in the next few months.
