Don't actually agree mate, I just think we fail because we are not good enough when it matters, and other Nations are just better.
People bang on about our so called "Golden generation" - It was way overrated...by us English...because other nations at that time, where also full of stars and legends of the game.
Other top 16 teams holding / beating us comfortably at home.. no CF outside Kane. The mix up between Anderson and Cole before Japan ripped through us with a really clean, quick team goal.
All this points to a world cup to forget. But we should get out the group and with some luck might get us to the 16/ quarters.
Then other factors like, are we gelling, are we getting goals, is Bellingham not acting like a Pratt etc come into it.
I don't think we're close to France, Spain, Argentina... The levels of the likes of the US, Mexico at home, and. a Japan or Senegal etc might prove hardwork for this England squad in the heat.
But we don't know! And for as long as we're in it, we hope
Surprised Phil McNulty on BBC didn't have Garner in his WC squad. I think he plays with waay more composure and commitment than what was on display on Tuesday.
