2025/26 James Garner

Ran the show and battered those expensive frauds with Gana and KDH. The pass to Beto was beautiful, and he’s done it before.

I think last night sealed him poty for me - consistent, reliable, taking charge when it matters, adaptable, works so hard off the ball - one of the best all round midfielders/players in the league currently.

Future Everton skipper.

Enjoy England duty Jimmy - you absolutely deserve it.

Agree with all that.

But Caicedo and Fernandez aren't frauds, they're 2 of the best midfielders in PL.

Maybe not at their best last night, but playing against them makes Garner's performance even better imo.

Fair play, your have a point.

I agree that they are good players, and really I suppose I meant their inflated price tags (good but not that good) which Id say is fraudulent, but then that’s not either players fault.

United fans must be raging they let him go for so cheap and apparently want to spend £80m on that lad from Forest.

How much is Jimmy G really worth now? 🤔

Its a prime example of going out and playing football regularly. Played almost 100 games of football before we signed him at 23.

this guys is mustard. Just saying!
Yes, because I know he's capable of at least recognising that. He's not capable of coaching good footballers to do the basics...like passing to each other.

I laugh when I hear from others (Eddie Munster just recently on TNT this week) talking up David Moyes' 'handling' of Declan Rice.

What a shout that is. Rice - like Rooney before him -were generational players who didn't require any input from a dullard like Moyes who can only get journeymen to run harder.

The claims for Moyes are off the charts insane. He is what he is.
You are what you are, I think it’s really funny you saying Moyes is a dullard. You are the biggest dullard on this forum, but it’s doesn’t stop you.

What Moyes has done in the last season and a half given where we’ve come from is remarkable!

One of the best all round footballers in the league for me.

There’s obviously better players with better attributes than him, but in terms of players who are good at everything, he’s probably up there with Reece James for me.

Garner is a smarter player than some give him credit for. That through ball was clearly the result of watching Chelsea's previous league game at home to Newcastle. He saw the way they set up and exploited it.

Our most-improved player (though Michael Keane has had a better season, so far, than I would ever have credited him for).

It's been ok with the cash handed to him.

We play a terrible spoiling sort of football given the player quality we have though.

If he was able to coach players to pass accurately and with pace to feet then he'd be more tolerable to me...not who Ild want in charge but at least acceptable in a football sense. But he never ever will be able to coach that because all he has to offer is to put a lot of bodies behind the ball, tell players to work harder and hope that the quality we have like KDH and Ndiaye snap up a chance or create one.

As opposed to expansive, pass and move football you mean?? When was the last time we played like that? Where have you been for our recent history???

I’ll take competing and winning right now, I’ll take progress right now but most of all I’ll take not feeling utterly depressed going to the match knowing we wouldn’t get out of our own half like it was under Dyche.

He has earn’t the right to take us forward in my opinion, I’m happy to see where he take us.

Let him see out his contract if we finish top half.

He can then sling his hook.
