You can see Jake improving as time goes by. He messed up tonight with the back pass but other than that he was steady and is an asset

Booked his through ball to Alcaraz was pants in a good position - Harrison Armstrong looked better than him TBH .....

He's nowhere near top half of the Premier League standard. Would be a decent squad player for a Bournemouth or a Fulham. Guaranteed to start 38 games if fit for Everton though this season.

He's just a typical 5/10 6/10 midfielder that we have seen time after time after time. But one thing is clear, his position in the team is under no serious threat atm unless we bring in a proper midfielder.

Like I said, he catches a lot of strays for no reason. I understand why he isn't everyone's cup of tea. Still has time to get better. At least he has the tools to be very good athletically. Just need to see him step into that role.

Just like see him offer more always feel is abit of a safe performance from him. Is just going forward now need see alot more from players. Is only way as a club we get better.

A lot rides on his shoulders in the middle. As with everyone, I would like to see him step on. He is far from bad. You can improve him at this point in his career but that could be said about most players. Really need to add the attacking options and fix the fullbacks as well. So many holes.

I think we have seen his best position in that first half tonight. In front of the back 4, dictating the ball when we have it, quality progressive passing and picking up lots of second balls / interceptions

Really impressed with that from him
