Assuming the black profile picture isn't a bereavement he's most likely been told the club is going for a new first choice number 8, maybe Mangala. Think it's been a tough season for him with injury and obviously Mangala did so well for us plus young Tim. Do also recall an interview ages ago where implied the squad was cliquey.
Personally though I think Garner is by far one of our better players, has brought pace in a position we've lacked it. Would love to hang on to him, think Utd made a massive mistake selling him and probably paid for it in terms of poor seasons etc.
