I genuinely think he'd be a good right back

We have already got 29 right backs. Our best one in current form is confusingly a centre back, another right/left back seems to be our new winger.

I like Garner but he’s looked very inexperienced lately. Gana came off tonight and he won more tackles and got forward. Something odd there. Whether he defers responsibility to the more experienced Gana. Garner woke up when he went off.

Rubbish tonight, but like the lad seems yo be lacking a bit of confidence.
Think the way McNeil and Young have been playing doesn't give him an outlet so he just goes backwards to often.

He's a slightly tidier/better version of Tom Davies - sideways and back passes and occasionally gets stuck in to break the opposition up.

Squad player at best for me - that Wharton kid shown more about him.

Taking that free kick was a joke. Terrible angle and, when he did hit it, it never looked like the shape he was trying would trouble any keeper. McNeill or Mykolenko should be taking that.

Not his best game i still rate the lad but we badly need a player in the midfield who can keep hold off the ball. Lack of any movement in this team is a disgrace

Myko needs to grow a pair tbh and demand to be taking things like that. He’s actually alright technically, he’s just way too safe in everything he does.

So James is the next target for Everton fans' vitriol? He's a quality player the entire team was lackluster yesterday he was off , he plays better when when we actually try to play football , yesterday the hoofball tactics were amplified to another level, I know dyche has a history of those tactics overall but at Everton he's tried to play more quick direct short passing attacks which suits garner.
