The only full back in the entire league you could argue is worse is the one playing on the opposite flank to him.

Sorry state of affairs when James Garner is the best right back at the club. For me JOB starts on bench as back up centre half next season, with Branthwaite and somebody new starting please.

What’s interesting with JOB at centre back (and I think something that’s been lost), is that whilst Moyes came in and made use of him at right back, neither Dyche or he thought he was particularly useful or good at centre back, despite our dearth of talent there.

Yep he’s crap at right back, but playing in his actual position we’ve done well overall.
Clean sheets away to Bournemouth, forest and villa. Then 1-1 home to
Leeds and 2 nil loss away to Arsenal who are champions, and we were very unlucky to lose too.

He needs to ask Moyes what his plans are for next season, if he's intending to play him at RB all season again the O'Brien should be looking to move, he's looked decent when played in his proper position and should be looking to nail down a starting spot at a Premier League club. This is doing nothing for his development.

Our record when he’s played centre back is quite good, has a bit of pace so would have been a better partner for Keane or Tarky

We're not buying any centrehalfs unless one gets sold. Jake and Jarrod are an awesome pairing. Tarkowski and 50p head should be shot from a cannon into the Merseyside.

There is absolutely no way we should be planning on having JB available regularly next season.

That would be fantastic if it happens. But it would be pretty negligent to assume it will given his recurring hamstring problems.

A centre half is a must this summer.

I get that, I just find it interesting that neither Moyes or Dyche saw it which begs a few questions one of which is Moyes deliberately keeping him there to cover his own shortcomings in failing to bring in a right back, even at the expense of JT and MK continuing at CB?
