Two windows? I've had children grow up and move country since our last RB buyWill we ever see him next to Branthwaite in his best position? Not buying right back in two windows was absolutely criminal and I think it’s because the club see O’Brien as the first choice right back. It’s unfair on him, you can see he doesn’t know how to play the position and it’s stopping his progression in his natural position.
Back 4 should be Patterson OBrien Branthwaite Mykolenko and we should be looking at getting new fullbacks in the summer. Instead we’ll probably just extend Keane again and carry on next season as is.
Still think he could've slid to intercept that pass but misjudged it. Don't think that has anything to do with CB/FB, just a costly mistake. Having said that he really has limitations at FB and though Patterson is no world beater he should have a chance now to grab the spot.
Sadly, you may be right. Too often we see two tier officiatingIf Id have been O'Brien there Ild have thought worse case scenario is a yellow card and a free kick if Id done that.
Itls way outside on the flanks and defenders are getting back covering. Ild have done what he did and then attempted to sell it as a tussle. It was standard PL defending but the ref and VAR thought: "It's not an elite match up - we'll send him off to keep the PL quotient of walkable points up".
Given his recent comments about Euro footy providing the extra games to keep the whole squad happy, I suspect some of Moyes’s seeming devotion to his senior players is trying to keep them all sweet. When he was away our midfield looked so solid with James Garner getting support he was MOTM most games in our midfield v Vila away with 3 in there was so good - so why did DM change it all ?
He's the one who hoofs it the most too, it's essential to start or at least give a go to JOB and Branthwaite, this would also mean centre of defence would probably be our area of the team with most pace!? but could allow them and the midfield to play higher up - at least at home.It just shows what an armband can do for you though.
I'd say out of our 3 CBs used this season Tarkowski has been the biggest offender in terms of illegal fouls but he's the one who's stayed on the pitch.
The PL refereeing is all corrupt.

Exactly why does he keep changing a winning team ?Given his recent comments about Euro footy providing the extra games to keep the whole squad happy, I suspect some of Moyes’s seeming devotion to his senior players is trying to keep them all sweet.
Plus, he’s naturally defensive, what with having been a defender.
His fouls and shithousery are covering up his lack of speed and declining abilities for me.It just shows what an armband can do for you though.

Everton seem to have been badly managed and administered historically, they have a culture problem it seemsTwo full windows under the current regime.
But yes permanent specialist right back signings in the last 20 years that have cost money (so I’ve excluded Neville Heitinga O’Brien, loan players, and free signings):
Coleman 60k
Patterson 12 mill
Absolutely disgraceful. 20 years, and I’d wager if you went back further it probably goes to about 25 years and whenever we bought Steve Watson (if you can even count him as a specialist right back).
It’s an absolute disgrace but I wouldn’t put it past Everton completely ignoring the position again this summer just so we can keep playing as many of OBrien Tarkwoski and Keane as possible next to Branthwaite. Keep them all happy and push the problem under the carpet for another window.
It's weird, it's like he can't drop a seasoned pro, even if it makes the team better. He's always seemed to have that trait as a manager. Two full windows under the current regime.

Was it Bournemouth v's the sh1t3 at Bournemouth when their centre backs were in the final third almost putting through balls in to the box for their strikers
The days of the stalwart/big unit scrappy last man centre back are long gone - despite their vocal/captaincy skills , the captain in football , unlike cricket or rugby is such an over rated position anyway.
No room for Patto?I'd love to see a back four of:
Garner JOB Branthwaite Aznou
