He was also extremely intelligent in his movement off the ball (he used to feint to go down the line and then swerve inside or vice versa) and his choice of cross was just superb. Always seemed to pick out a man. If he had Ashley Cole's pace he would genuinely be an all-time great.

Just Ireland or any International team? There are benefits to have players play regularly at International level.

Any international team. I'd rather have zero call ups. Ireland do have a history of playing our players when they are clearly unfit, however, and send them back crocked.
