Jags Injury 'A bad one'

Nothing to do with the Jags injury, but yesterday I had a very interesting conversation with a leading sports nutritionist who told me that Everton are now on a par with Arsenal when it comes to sports nutrition, fitness assessment and recovery strategies.

For example players give blood samples at half-time and from the data collected their individual post match recovery programmes are calculated.

He also said that the Finch Farm facilities were considered second to none from a sports science perspective.

We take blood from the players at half time??? No wonder we come out for the second half so poor pretty much every game!

That's a bit stupid surely?

He sprinted down the steps. From reports I'd imagine this is similar to the Rooney gash 5-6 weeks out

Shame for him. He's been a lot better this season. Close to being back to his best. I hope he's fit and ready if we make it to wembley after what happened to him last time.

why is it always our players that come of bad from these yard dog teams? you never see RS, Spurs, Utd, City, etc losing players from these things.
