The reason for this move: we are not signing a new CB as the Sigurdssson overspend wont allow for that plus a new striker.

Simple as that I wouldn't mind betting.

Err, Jags is already contracted for this season mate.
Giving him an extension for the season after has got nothing to do with whether or not we sign another centre half for this season.

I tend to agree with you on us signing another centre half in this window though, I don't think it's all that likely, or, if we do, then it'll be a stopgap.

Nice to see you're willing to take bets on it though, which was against your religion or principles when you thought you might actually lose a bet

The defence looks a shambles. How on earth can we be going into a new season having already spent £100M and the entire backline apart from Keane is a veteran or hopeless...or both?

Had we had any foresight we would looked to have gone for a good enough RB whilst Coleman gets fully fit and someone to push Baines like Tierney. The shrewd deals are out there we just don't seem to look for them Sandro aside.
