Carrick atleast still offers something, Jags is clearly past his best he was an abomination at the back in a good few games last season and isn't getting any younger.

Him and Mori should have been both out the door in january/ next summer with a quality CB coming in to play alongside Keane.

But the question was not if he was any good, but who gives contracts to ageing players.

In the last few games last season Jags played well.

One more year. It's ONE MORE YEAR LADS. Jesus wept, it's not like he's the only bit of business we've done since May. The fella knows the club inside out, he put in a good shift towards the back end of last season and DID A CARTWHEEL WHEN HE SCORED. Seriously, why are we fuming? Do we need another younger, more spritely CB? Yes. Does that mean we shouldn't be giving Jagielka a new deal? No. He's decent cover.

I wasn't complaining. I was complimenting the quality of our back 4 as we vie for a CL sp I have high regard for Cuco, Tubby and Capt jags. Bainsey though , I'm a little suss on. Age is catching up with him and he can't always rely on the speed and skill of Cuco, Tubby and Capt jags to get him out of bother

Haha, Coleman will add pace when he returns, still think he's looking for a left sided centre half, hopefully pacy.
