I think Jacobsen has looked solid enough, with a full pre-season, and if he stays injury free I think he is a better option than Hibbert.

Seamus Coleman is one for the next couple of seasons, not ready yet but has potential.

Moyes prefers Pip in midfield, but will be cover for RB.

So Jacobsen first choice, Neville cover, Coleman the future = sell Hibbo and invest in Right Mid. That what I think anyway :)

I hear Colemans going on the preseason tour with the first team.

*Pure internet rumour!

He probably should for experience. He was very highly thought of in Ireland, and he is here for a reason - you never know with Moyesie, he might get thrown in early.

Well, the International match is long over but we have not heard much from the OS whether or not he is leaving or consider staying?

I guess this would not resolve until after the player's holiday, I certainly hope he is staying as we are short on number as it is and since VDM has left his wage bill is gone, surely Jacobsen would be more useful than VDM?

We need a better RB than Hibbert, and we have Jacobsen for free.. so why not sign him up for 2-3 more years and have a good backup for a potential new RB... and if we can't land one we have Jacobsen as first and Hibbert as backup.

Lars Jacobsen is set to sign for Blackburn Rovers this week having decided not to renew his contract at Everton. The Danish international centre-half is out of contract and has decided to leave Everton for the offer of a better chance of first-team football under Sam Allardyce. The 29-year-old signed a one-year deal with Everton last summer but missed much of the season with injury.

Well F-you Lars matey....

Means we are Hibbo full for the next season and that 18mill for Lescott better be spent wisely.
