And, by eck, he is a good holding midfielder.


The way he holds the ball, spreads the ball, and uses his space is fantastic. he plays like he is in his mid 20's and has been doing it for years.

Neville(when fit) will only be used as a RB(until the HUGE games, for the time being).


Let us not forget, Shearer was a goalkeeper when he first started.

I know Moyes first said Jack is a CB, but he would have signed a holding midfielder and used Jack as CB, if he had not himself realised Jack is better as a holding CM.

I am just a fan. I do not see him every work day. What I have a feeling about is that he could go to the Olympics in 2012 and possibly be captain. There are clubs that will not want to pay after that what they could have paid before.
Moyes has spoken of Rodwell as a Centre Back since day one, maybe it is wishful thinking on the part of Moyes, or Maybe it is some esoteric (RosWell) plot to fool the masses. I do not believe Moyes is such a bad character of defender or player.

I don't think Moyes would be stupid enough to move a player of Jack's ability to centre back. Obviously that's just my opinion.

A quality centre mid is alot harder to come by and Jack has all the tools - athleticism, ability, intelligence. He could be the complete player.

There may be a year out on two or three of those numbers but Moyes has still crafted a side that can play a season or two that has class and skill and longevity. The real question for Everton football club is WHO is being developed after Rodwell and who is being developed after that player.
