Can see them trying. They'll probably go for the 'cut-price' fee or about £8 million thinking we might be stupid enough to accept or counter with £5 million which they wouldn't be able to accept quickly enough. Failing that yeah, can see them saying we can just have him, like he's some kind of tin opener we've been borrowing since 2023.

You can't fault his effort but he's just not very good. We desperately need 2 or 3 midfielders with pace who can pass a ball. Gana is the only central midfielder who is up to scratch and he's 36!

Most of the top clubs loan their best up and coming players to teams in the Championship these days. We shouldn't be relying on loans as they're usually players teams don't want for a reason. We might be able to get a player from abroad who hasn't settled but domestically I'm not sure it's the way to go.

….its actually a good point, I suppose it might be a little different with a relegated club having to trim its wage bill but its a reasonable suggestion to add to our transfer strategy.
