Thought he has done ok as a squad filler two seasons on loan. Nothing more nothing less.

It worked out ok in that context and he can return to Leeds and most likely remain in the PL.

Can never fault his work rate or attitude, he just doesn’t have the quality to be a Premier League player.
I mean, he’s played 159 PL games over the last 5 years so that seems like a bit of a nonsensical statement. He’s an average PL player, but suggesting he’s isn’t good enough to play PL football is a bit of an embarrassing shout when you think about it.

passing and crossing were sharper than they’ve been. Seemed to pick his head up and be a bit more deliberate. Did not get on the stat sheet but this was his best game in recent memory.

Like everyone else has been saying, the work ethic and effort is there but just wish he had something to show for it. He’s pretty poor on the ball and isn’t a threat at all. It is what it is but at least he gives it his all. Can’t knock him for that.

He's simply not good enough and he's had more than enough opportunities to prove his worth. Really hard worker, great attitude and clearly liked around the place, yet the quality isn't there and doesn't look like he's got it in his locker to help us step up next season. Happy it was only a loan we had him in on, but unless he turns into Messi over the next two months the club shouldn't even consider making the move permanent at any price. Go back to Leeds in an emergency but there's no way we should be in a position to need to be crawling back for him. Nice lad, not good enough.
