I did understand the Chermiti singing, we still need to sign young players with potential. And he was bought with the simms and cannon money. Obviously Thelwell thinks he has a higher ceiling than then pair

Well I think we would need a better squad.
Some games Garner, McNeil, Harrison, Onana, Gana, young, Myko arent on it, we would need back ups for when that happens.
But anyway, I like Jack, sure we can do better, you can always do better, I just think for 15m he would be a steal.

If you take those two deals in a vacuum, it's a net gain for the 2023/2024 accounts.

We had a very injured DCL and an unknown Beto, I think the Chermo signing was prudent, it might not work out, but I suspect at some point this season he will be called on.
Easy worth £15m. That gets you a reserve goalkeeper nowadays.
