2025/26 Jack Grealish

Unpopular opinion but I don't understand why you move Ndiaye out of his best position.

I don't remember Grealish having many games where I thought - got to keep him next season.

Maybe I'm wrong. I'm wrong about stuff all the time.

Apparently it's 'weird' to question whether Grealish is good value. Not just a different opinion.

The emotional immaturity on here is crazy.

Ndaiye has scored more goals off the right with Grealish on the left hasn’t he? I can’t remember him scoring many since Grealish has been injured, definitely not from open play anyway.

He makes the ball stick and we get players up in behind that. But we won 7 with him and 6 without him. I dont think he's a talisman by any stretch of the imagination. There's a lot of selective memories here because there was frustration with Grealish before his enforced time out.

Unless he's coming here for a bargain basement price then we need to focus on bringing through Dibling who ha been criminally cast aside.
I know there was frustration while he was playing, but my view at the time was that it was misguided. It's true that at times you wish he would release the ball faster, but overall the time and control he gave us was priceless. Defenders totally freeze around him.

You watch us recently and everythings rushed. We never have that time on the ball to meaningfully construct a move in the final third, instead it's just desperately and frantically trying not to lose posession.

Agree about Dibling, but the place in the squad that he should be taking is McNeils.

Grealish started well but he was extra motivated at the start of the season partly to prove Guardiola and critics wrong and also to try and get back in the England squad in a World Cup year. Once it became clear in the international breaks Tuchel wasn't going to pick him, I think he lost a bit of that edge.

Still a quality player but a bit like watching Gazza in an Everton shirt and some of the oldies Walter signed. You know they've seen better days and you're just getting flashes.

I think it was more a case of teams adapting and plugging the side of the pitch where Grealish and KDH were combining more.

But, as I said the other day, there are still only 4 players in the league with more assists than Grealish and only one player who's been fouled more.

He is creative and he gets us up the pitch.

There are issues with the balance of the team, our goal scoring threat and how well/quickly we transition, but it's fairly indisputable that Grealish was more of a positive than a negative
