Likely puts an end to his chances of being on the plane to Trumpland in the summer - which I feel partly drove his desire to come here. I dont think he had shown enough to justify selection anyway but its a bit gutting for the guy as that was his last chance at the world cup surely.

Dont want to see McNeil playing winger. Need someone pacey on loan.

Maybe it feels worse to me as the difference between first choice players and squad players is so stark

Hopefully he'll be back before the end of the season, but if it is farewell Jack, then it's been a great little cameo from him. I've really enjoyed having him here.

….the indication is that this is serious, assume if it’s metatarsal it’ll need an op followed by doing nothing for 3 months. I assume it’ll be agreed with City who looks after him from here but we’ll still be responsible for paying the agreed salary until the end of the season.

Could possibly be the end of his time here or maybe accelerate a loan for next season, much will depend on if we bring somebody in.

We know Ndiaye can operate on either flank, which helps the scope of a replacement this month. Pity Dibling has looked a long way short of what’s required and whilst McNeil ‘does a job’ you’d want real threat in those wide positions.
