2025/26 Jack Grealish

On the one hand you want to give him his space, on the other hand someone like KDH or Ndiaye needs to get a bit closer to him to be an option.
I concur what's the point of several defenders dropping their coverage of other players to focus on grealish if we don't capitalize on that more. I noticed even in the Liverpool match , jack had two to four defenders covering at one time , got to get someone in the nearby vicinity to exploit that development

Gonna get kicked to death this season from here. Struggling to see where our revenge is going to be doled out from. Need to start splitting a few.

No (blood n) guts, no glory.

Yep, and the narrative change on him has already started. He "leaves his leg behind" and "goes down easily". Other players with his caliber, in some other teams, are "just too quick and in that pace even the slightest of touches do bring you down". You can also tell he's sometimes baffled himself 'cos those fouls against have been, for the reasons we all know, been called.

All because he played well at Anfield and made us the better team second half and that couldn’t possibly be the narrative

Our social media posts after the loss last night are full of kopites coming in saying ‘who’s fault was it this time’, ‘bet you would’ve won with more injury time’ and ‘bet Grealish spent more time on the floor than the pitch again’ all because he spoke out about the poor refereeing at Anfield.

Yes He needs runner on either of his side to capitalize when he is doubled. Either an overlapping left back or a B2B midfielder who can run in behind from his back.

Myko has already started to overlap more.

I would like to see Röhl in that B2B role. From what I heard, he is quite dynamic. Although I have not seen enough evidence of his off ball running. I hope that he can play like his countryman Goretzka (in his prime) with powerful run in behind.

Another easy solution is to let Grealish roam more. Some occasional position switch with the no 10 or right winger will set him free. It is a bit too predictable if we stick him on the touchline with little to none overlapping.

If I was him I'd be onto my agent trying to get out of here in January.

Battered every week because the club dont say anything to protect him and playing for a manager who doesn't have the sense he was born with.

As the song goes: "What a waste of talent".
