2025/26 Jack Grealish

“Do you know what? And I’m not just saying this, when I had my first chat with the manager, I just knew I wanted to come here,” he explained. “He was one of the reasons, probably the main reason. He wants me to be in the final third, be creative and to have no fear like I’ve shown before. You know, sometimes you will lose the ball and miss chances but you need to have that side where you can go and play that killer pass and that end product – that’s the aim. If I do that, I feel like I can really help the Club. “After speaking to [the manager], I said to my agent, ‘From now on, I don’t want to go anywhere else – if we can do it, I want to play for Everton’.

Seems like Moyes was a major factor in getting Grealish.

Dave will love that :)

After all the money and fame. If you genuinely love football then nothing else will fill that gap. He will he the adulation here. He’s got that.

And the Irish one!

When we witnessed Rooney's instant decline who can blame ya. That drinking stuff can age you quick. I hope for Jack's sake he has super genetics and can have a long and healthy prime.
Yeah I don’t think it was just the drink that aged Rooney.

Some are just genetically predisposed to aging quicker than others. The lad looked like a 30 year old when he was 17, so it’s little wonder he looks like a 50 year old in his thirties.

Rooney had a receding hairline when he was 10, it's no surprise he hasn't exactly cracked the secret to eternal youth. 😄

I wouldn't call Doucore a 10 or played that role myself mate. ;)

We will miss him for sure, i think we already are, midfield is going to be a weak area for us this year
Said similar a few times myself, his legs, his pressing, his physicality, his competing for headers, we don't seem to have anything like him now, and his ability to swallow a lot of punishment and keep turning up to absorb the same the week after was nothing short of iron man type application.
But that was the trade, he was more iron man athlete than footballer, and that distance was a canyon. To suggest he was a hinderance in possession is a kindness that should deserve a peace prize nomination. Other sides sat off him knowing he'd have possession given to him as the easy ball, and then more as likely he'd gift it back with a sloppy short pass or trying to be Zidane.

There's more classic football ability in the squad now, but we saw a cold side run down and chased away at leeds, yes a bad day at the office, but it's how the dogs of war used to set up to harass and harry other sides. We'll need some steel in the midfield, there's plenty ( J O'B) in the defence, but I don't know who's gonna do the dirty work in the CM, maybe D-Hall, maybe Garner.

It's also worth noting Alcaraz has quite a short temper and is easily disrupted in games when he doesn't get an obvious decision or two. As the opposition, he's who I'd target for some wind up.

re Grealish, his strength on the ball, players seem to bounce off him. I hope we can get a debut season out of him anything like we did G.Barry.

We’ll come out of the season hoping to sign a player like him mate, by that I mean without the ball, though I’ve never seen Rohl.

Doucoure is the type of player you want in your team and is massively appreciated by his team mates for the work he puts in. You just don’t get results without it.

Hel be appreciated by those who played a bit of ball themselves. ;)

Didn't he average most distance ran in almost every game he played for us? I know it was easy to say he was always running after his lost possession...

Yeah, evidently.

*looks at results*
