2025/26 Jack Grealish

All of that is true mate.

There is a love in at the moment - but if he picks up a two month injury - many will turn him and say we are wasting 200k a week etc, wage thief etc.

Guaranteed.
Yeah but the recruitment has been so banal for so long (barring the odd gem) that I feel the club had to take a punt on him rather than a ‘safer bet’ who won’t make the side demonstrably better.

I think he pays for himself in terms of profile and reputation recovery, marketability and commercial oppurtuimites mate.

Even a stronger arguememt that £50 mill might be momey well spent considering this factors - but we’re not there yet.

That’s before you look at how he might drag us up the league table at 3 mill a place and I think we have a chance at Europe qualification this year.

Without him we prob draw against Brighton and beaten by Wolves.

Yeah he offers commercial and financial value. Not sure about Europe yet. A lot of sides in that bracket and a lot of football to play.

Imagine Moyes won us the league Leicester style, SJB would cause a massacre.

I wouldn't call Doucore a 10 or played that role myself mate. ;)

We will miss him for sure, i think we already are, midfield is going to be a weak area for us this year despite the investment we've been forced to make since his leaving us. I disagree and i think people will cotton onto it as games pass by, we've left our selves short in midfield.

Im hoping Rohl hits the ground running - we need him to.

Ultimately we move on, he decided to leave the club even if we wanted him to stay - which is telling.

Mate doucoure is beyond crap

He looked crap when surrounded by DCL, McNeil etc …

Imagine how crap he’d look along side grealish , Ndiaye , cobbling and KDH

Moves would constantly break down with him , sitters missed , he would ruin everything

At least two of the goals at Wolves don’t happen with Doucoure on the pitch. But he’d win the ball back loads to immediately give it away again

True. At the time I was more interested in someone like McAtee, England u21 captain, burgeoning talent from City, and being Alan ball’s great nephew, but once Grealish was announced I couldn’t imagine anything better

Would love to know what percentage of them sat in the park end (if they even went to games)?

TBF, most of the Super Bloo antics are carried out by inexperienced evertonians on the bowels of the Gwladys Street end, who only bought tickets in there cause they thought might made them cool and edgy.

Ar eh, yoo carnt do dat lad. Dats norevverton dat. Ave a blast ov dis lad, proper sound gear.

Those in the Park End are old timers, comfortable with their Evertonian selves and nothing to prove to anybody. Seen it all.

“Do you know what? And I’m not just saying this, when I had my first chat with the manager, I just knew I wanted to come here,” he explained. “He was one of the reasons, probably the main reason. He wants me to be in the final third, be creative and to have no fear like I’ve shown before. You know, sometimes you will lose the ball and miss chances but you need to have that side where you can go and play that killer pass and that end product – that’s the aim. If I do that, I feel like I can really help the Club. “After speaking to [the manager], I said to my agent, ‘From now on, I don’t want to go anywhere else – if we can do it, I want to play for Everton’.

Seems like Moyes was a major factor in getting Grealish.

"The forward, formerly of Fabril, is the leader in this statistical category and only Jack Grealish (Everton) matches his records in the major European leagues."
