Transfer Rumour Jack Grealish

Unfortunately, can see a loan for him as a ‘statement of intent’ by TFG.
1) Wages wise we would only have to cover a mutually agreeable amount (anything less than £300k / week is good for City.)
2) loan fee - anything less than the £8m TFG paid for 1y of Lukaku is modest in the grand scheme of the EPL.
3) personally would swerve, but if he did come, we are guaranteed some moments of absolute quality along with a load of undesirable headlines and a lot of anonymous performances.

Player like him could be the difference to get us a pot but yikes….

I know him not delivering at City became a bit of a meme because the media (including social media) loves to lay into a big money English lad but he was superb at Villa, one of the few players outside of watching Everton games I’d enjoy watching when he was on it.

He might be spent but I’d trust Moyes if we do bring him in that he’s got the right mentality and a few seasons left to give!

Hasn't played regularly for ages. Those players usually don't do much, see Kalvin Phillips remaining terrible at Ipswich this season.

That said I do remember Moyes picking up Lingard for half a season at West Ham when he was in a similar situation and he played some of the best football of his career.

Think this is one where you just let it play out over the summer (he'll be involved with them in the WCC) and then see what the situation is in the last week of the window.

Left side isn't really a huge concern currently with Ndiaye and McNeill the two main options.
