I like Grealish, but I agree, he plays in the one position that we are well stocked in. Presumably there is a plan to play Grealish or N'Diaye somewhere unexpected, or we're selling McNeil or something.

Moyes in America did turn around and say there's players there we want to do things with - most assumed he meant loans etc but took it as a few he'd like to sell

Sounds like an ideal move for him.

A team he’s going to be a regular starter (you’d expect) the season before the World Cup and he doesn’t have to uproot his family for a year.

I imagine the big driver, World Cup aside, for Jack is the love he'll get if he somehow manages to be a leading part of the new project and gets us even a Carabou Cup. As somebody who won a treble only a few seasons ago he'll bring so much to the mindset change that this Club needs.
Even at £12M loan it's an absolute no-brainer to me.
We need players who bring back the excitement and Jack is definitely one of those if he gets firing.
