Why should Villa take the money? They don’t need it and he’s by far their best player and better than anyone they’ll be able to get in.
Apparently they've just offered him £150k a week to stay so they are trying to keep him, you can just imagine the big club players in his ear at the England camp.
He is a very arrogant young man but I think that arrogance makes him the special player he is.
He is a Villa lad and he will go up in my estimation if he stays.

If he fails the genius Pep will just buy another player maker/ wide player.

Just like he did with all those £50-£60 million full backs and centre backs he's bought over the last 5 seasons or so, eventually one will be a success.
Which bad attacking signings has pep made out of intrest?

Yes...

He got there in 2016. Their full-backs - he didn't buy them. He implemented a style that season and needed full-backs, so they went and bought full-backs, rather than try and improve 30+ year-olds Sagna and Clichy, they went and got Walker and Mendy.

Zinchenko was signed as a midfielder for a small fee as a teenager, Pep has transformed him into a left-back. Bloody hell, he turned Delph into a left-back.

Yes, City spent loads of money, but that doesn't guarantee you the succees they've had does it? Pep still has to put them all together, make them work. He turned Bernardo Silva from a diminutive playmaker to someone who is basically box-to-box. KDB has improved massively under him, look at how Foden has developed.

It's a really weird critique.

Everton have spent £500m in the past 5 seasons. Look at what a mess we are.

As for Grealish, he's an excellent player, sure he'll do well if he goes to City.
Yeah as i pointed out £412 million spent on defenders.

You didn't have to write an essay, the article showed exactly what was spent on defenders since Guardiola became manager, it's FOUR HUNDRED and TWELVE MILLION POUNDS.

Are you Txiki Begiristain BTW?

I put together a response to your weird critique of one of the world's best managers, who because he is so good, gets the backing (and that helps generates more success).

No, I'm just someone who doesn't make sweeping statements that I can't back up.

What sweeping statements, i posted a link showing exactly how much he spent on defenders to the total of Four Hundred and Twelve million pounds.

Hodgson BFS Moyes with that backing could have won the PL and some domestic cups last season easily, just like Pep i think Hodgson BFS and Moyes would have won a CL with the likes of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Henry, Eto, Villa Pedro Mascherano Busquets at their disposal at Barcelona.

Well, your lot with Klopp spent their way to winning a PL title and a CL. What's the difference?

But they don't get that backing because they don't guarantee the same success as Pep.

Everton have spent £500m in five years and finished no higher than seventh. So your theory doesn't really stand up. The manager matters.

Yep...
Dias is crap. As is Laporte, Cancelo also and Rodri isn't all that is he?
All bum buys by the bald fraud. He'll get found out one day.

I enjoyed Man City better when they kept getting relegated.

Now we have to put up with threads like this.
