Can anyone honestly say they've seen enough of Mucha 5-8 games to say he's so poor? Cos he'd have to be utter shoite to be a worse option than Howard at this point.

I've seen him a few times and bar the error against Chelsea he didnt do much wrong.

It's difficult to be critical of a goalkeeper who gets so little first team exposure and I do believe that goalkeepers in particular need to be playing every week to keep their concentration ,reflexes etc at their best.
That said when Mucha played against Leeds a couple of weeks ago I was petrified anytime the ball went anywhere near him.For his own sake he needs to go somewhere else and play regular football,it will never happen at Everton.

he looked very good in 2010 world cup imo, he has a bit of the shakes about him but imo he should have been iven a chance. Heitinga made less mistakes than howard had at the start of the season and yet he got dropped for distin. If moyes doesn't trust mucha enough to put him in when howard his letting in fairly easy goals then he should have sorted it in the summer just gone. Overall, i think mucha should have been given a chance so far, even if it is just for a few games, even if it is to give howard a kick up the arse and up his game

Who says we're even in for Butland?

Is this all just because of that non-story that Sky Sports News ran with on transfer deadline day?

Foster is a classic 'caught in the headlights' type of keeper. He always looks like he's ****ting himself.
I'd like us to replace Howard, but Foster would be/is a calamity keeper.

Sums up exactly what I think. anyone who's played the game will see the defence don't trust him.

Foster all day - superb keeper - prob the slosest to Hart out there as far as England are concerned.

Havnt seen much of Butland admittedly.
Foster is nowhere near Hart for me, look at birminghams form with hart and compare it to there form with Foster, he pulls off some blinders, but doesnt concentrate and cant kick a ball. Butland looked a talent in the limpics, wouldnt be against that move.

Jack Butland has emerged as a prime target for Everton. As much as David Moyes rates his current number one Tim Howard, he feels the time is right to provide the American with some quality competition.

If Moyes rates Howard so highly then we shouldnt be getting competition in for silly money.

I would preferably get a new keeper dont get me wrong but im not sure I understand Moyes mindset there. He has bought a load of young goalies the past few years and would then get Butland (who has proven nothing by the way) who is only a year or two older than them.
