Its only a matter of time before you all hate Barkley

I'd be happy if Barkley ever gets to the stage where he is playing so well that we sell him to a big club because we'd get a load of money for him.

After all it was selling Rooney that gave us the money to build the team which got us in to Europe and qualified us in the Champs League.

I don't really see the point of this thread though, other than trying to depress people?

We should be more concerned about Barkley getting int he 1st team atm, not this stupid kind of ****.

Life always ends in death, so why not just cut the whole middle part out and get it over and done with? If everything you do is by that principle you're going to be extremely depressed.

Ross is going to be boss for us for a few years, and you know what they say, 'nothing gold can stay', but is that any reason not to enjoy it while its gold? Of course not.

There is a big big difference in the Everton with Rooney and the current Everton, if we as a club want to compete and match the Spurs, Liverpool's
and Arsenal's of this world, then now when we're at the level just below, we need to keep the likes of Ross to try and catch up, because trying to attract someone as good from abroad will be difficult with no champions league football to show them, the Rooney sale in hindsight was a good thing which has kept the club moving but now it's imperative we keep young Ross and build the team around him IMO
 
Sheez. We actually are having a good run of form right now, can we focus on the positive?

What is odd it's the same old posters,ffs lads if you've got nothing to post other than this pessimistic agenda driven rubbish, then don't bother posting at all.

Not a case of that mate, I'd sell Rodwell to United tomorrow for the right price, most of our good players from the past eventually got taken from us, so this is worth discussing, no driven rubbish about it, Jeffers, M.Ball Graveson, Rooney, Lescott, Arteta, Pienarr, nothing rubbish about facts from the past, only difference is we're a better team now and MUST keep our good players to compete

Bollocks. If Barkley turns out to be as good as he seems to be then he will be gone within the next 3 years. Rodwell did get interest but has since gone off the boil and the hype has died down. Comparing the hype around him to Barkley is silly in the first place.
