Our match winners belong to other teams..

yes, but not this season. Success attracts success. Good (really good) players will want to play for EFC if we keep winning and can offer them a Europe exposure (CL). Our loanees are helping us get there. It is a win win situation for a club like ours who has not got a bottomless wallet.

True but the plus point is that we know now exactly what we need permanently in our team to make it tick. Sign Barry at the end of the season...also try to get Deulofeu on another years loan...and focus the signing for this season on getting a striker for next season (Maybe even Lukaku IF at all possible). If thats possible then get in Deulofeu's replacement the season after. Combine into it some additional cover where needed and I think we are set. I know it wont be easy but sure RM are on it already planning something in that line etc as there must be a reason why the possibility of a 2 years loan (according to speculation) was mentioned...as it would be ideal to do it roughly that way. Especially if we can get CL footy...then the funds would make it all possible I think. If not...I think RM will have a plan B...as he looks like one sharp manager :)

Just remember you are at the top at the moment lads. There will be a downward slope.

Wrong...we aren't at the top...we are on the upward climb almost there...still going to enjoy the time at the top :)

I have been going the match since the days of the Holy Trinity, Howard's team and the Dogs of War.

Never, ever in all those years have I looked forward to a match as much as Fulham next Saturday.

I just can't wait to welcome the lads home.

I don't travel away any more (well, an odd London game if me and the missus go the smoke for a weekend I always pick a date EFC are in town) and it almost feels like we will be welcoming home a victorious army.

Like when Caesar brought his Legions across the Rubicon and back into Rome....(y)

There's no reason not to enjoy this, though we've been programmed to think of joy as a debt that needs paying. The team is playing football the right way, no more roulette, no more cheating the odds. We're seeing a manager who is trying to make the game, success grows on top of success.

I almost love seeing the other team getting a corner these days.....just to see us defend it with men stood just outside the box waiting to break away if the ball is headed out.

Used to be cleared corners came straight back at us as every man was in the box.

I'm only a teenage Blue so can't recall the Kendall era but speaking with my Dad and my Grandad, who saw the School of Science as well as the 80's side, they thoroughly believe this team is the best since then. Considering we reached CL in 04 with a team nowhere near as good, from a technical point of view, it's exciting to think that should we maintain this form, we may not only be competing for top 4 but potentially the League. Highly doubt it though- January's a big month and we need to bolster our options. COYB!!!

That is such a good shout! Did you see Man Utd with every player back defending a corner against us?

As a 25 year old, this is the best time to be an Evertonian ever!

True, well excpet, Baines
And Oviedo...
Mirallas, Barkley, Pienaar, Coleman....
3 players don't belong to us, the rest can win matches without them.
Barry may stay, if not we'll have Gibson and we'll have the money from winning the league this season to replace Lukaku anyway :)
