I said earlier it should all be by PM. Thing is if GOT is going after ye likes of lcab then it's pretty balls from a tried and tested member. If he's going after some nugget who saw a good player on footy manager and then decided we were in for him, then fair enough.
Ultimately, quality, accurate info gains you a rep. There was a reason why people looked toward lcab/tht/fox and it wasn't because their best mates brother in laws ex gf was being nailed by jermaine and so was ITK.

So you;re saying that Fox took some info from the papers and guessed that Naismith would be revealed as a signing on Wednesday?
Or he got the info from a paper that you can show me proof of?
Its the specific of being publically confirmed on Wednesday that makes him ITK, not saying that Naismith is gonna sign some time.
Is this all about LCAB, Fox, THT and Sheedy who are trusted ITKs on here by the majority of posters because of their previous history of being right, or
is this about any tom dick or harry coming on here and posting rumours pretending to be ITK with no track record of being so? Like Cahills uncle or whatever it was? If thats the case fine but neither you or Danny has yet to make the distinction as to who you are targetting here.

And yeah, Naismith was linked, but show me a paper which said he would be signing on Wednesday. (You can't)
Show me a paper report saying Drenthe hadn't travelled to Swansea before it was said on here.
Find me a news report saying the Donvan deal was wrapped before it was said on here.
Show me all the news reports which named player line ups on match day before Fox posted info.
Or explain to me how all of the above is not the very definition of somebody being in the know.

For my money, I'm currently living and working far away from home and deffo not ITK with da word on da streets around Goodison. I've come to draw some small comfort - a kind of reassurance - when reading anything LCAB or the foxy one post (Sheeds recently too). I don't give 2 figs if the site is looking to justify perceived kudos - I just get sick of barren transfer windows and shed loads of jarg rumours.
These cats seem to have their ear to the ground, and even if it's only in a small way, it's good enough for little old me. Let's not hound the only credible posters out, eh? Otherwise it'll be a Jargonaut meltdown.

Its true tho, after this thread, we dont actually have any ITKs.
As was absolutely everyone who knew he was moving away from Spurs due to the terrible few months he'd had and hardly got a game before he joined. Read back his posts in January about Pienaar on Twitter - it could easily be defined as cold reading. I'm not saying it is, but it could be.
Similarly, McFadden. I convinced a bookies near I worked that I was ITK about Everton as I asked for odds on him joining two weeks before he did. Am I ITK? No. I simply put 2 and 2 together and got 4.
The real examples would be the obscure ones, like Stracqualursi. Nobody - not one of these ITKs - said anything in advance about Stracq.
The last time I was genuinely aware that someone was ITK was LCAB about Bilyaletdinov in 2009. As in there was no question whatsoever about it. Since then, nothing even close to that, so I fully understand what Dan is saying here.
As I say it's tough for me on here but I posted on kipper over the Christmas period we'd made a firm approach for Jelavic and I was able to update on here bid accepted etc... I was able to post Yobo to Fenerbache (only a couple of hours admittedly ) and nash to stoke (weeks ) before it happend and Nash I mean come on a huge story ! I could do it because I knew someone involved in the deals like when sky said seb Larsson had signed for Newcastle I could text someone and ask and they said he hadn't . A lot of what snippets I get are when it says "everton in for....." I can make an enquiry and sometimes I can confirm/deny the story, there was a big row (well ish) between kipper and got over n'zogbia because I posted his name Before the media and I was 100% certain we'd made an approach because we flew his agent to Barbados to meet moyes . Now LCAB hadnt heard that and people seemed to try and cause a disagreement simply because on that one occasion maybe my source was maybe slightly better placed that his and obviously the story came out and we approached but the deal couldn't be financed . I might be wrong but I think LCAB accepted there had been approach , I could be wrong though. Years ago I posted on kipper a story about why Bellamy rejected us (first time) and I got slaughtered for it but only last year that same story was repeated by Bellamy in an interview now come on if that was a guess it was impressive .

It's absurd, and is going to make the people who actually know stuff less likely to post, leaving us with all the chaff and none of the wheat.
Both trying to find something that isn't there.
Again, it's simple.
There's a lot of 'ITK' talk. This thread can be the place that demonstrates just how "ITK" GrandOldTeam is.
And to demonstrate that, all we need is ONE name, one piece of information ahead of time. And by that, I mean before it's in your typical rag.
It's not a big ask is it?
Some might do well to remember that I'd like to have genuine ITK posts on here...

Not sure how that has anything to-do with the likes of LCAB and Fox, As for the life of me I can not remember the last time they started a thread
Surely its the randoms who come on and start multi threads linking us with every player under the sun that cause the problem, Because if those threads were not made then nobody would talk about them
