And I utterly condemn Hezbollah's launches of thousands of rockets at civilians in Northern Israel, just as I condemn Hamas attacks on October 7th.
But in the meantime I am also allowed to condemn Israel's disgusting use of terror tactics over the last few days in Lebanon using pagers (that was state terrorism no doubt)
And they're blatant attempts to destabilise the wider region and drag everyone involved into a regional war.
N
obody involved in this situation has clean hands! And I condemn the murder of innocent civilians on both sides.
However Israeli actions over the last year have been an utterly disproportionate response in its impact on non combatants in regards to how they have carried out their operations.
I find their use of such a complex military industrial machine that they wield to kill as many civilians as they do utterly deplorable.
Theirs nothing precise about it.
I hear your anger at Hamas and Hezbollah to and do not want to see innocent Israelis killed by them either.
I want all parties to call a ceasefire and save lives on all sides.
I just don't think bombing the number of civilians in their homes in a neighbouring sovereign state is the way to bring that peace about so I condemn it.
If the enemy are hiding in civilian locations...
If the enemy are storing weapons in civilian locations...
If the enemy are using civilian locations as tunnel entrances where kidnapped civilians are being held...
For me, I'm not sure what more you can do than warn those civilians about what is about to happen and to leave the area.
The Lebanon pagers used by Hezbollah was a genius move imo. I do not see this as any "war crime". When they are held and used by the terrorists then surely this actually saves lives.
The precise strikes into Beirut and across Lebanon may have caused civilian casualties...however as you alluded to, its not black and white.
I think its whether you believed rockets and weapons caches are stored in civilians houses -- remember that the intelligence reports have clearly stated Hezbollah were close to both a mass launch of rockets (after 11months of firing at civilians) and another October type civilian massacre (i assume in northern israel).
One thing i do not want is a ceasefire. Not after the massacre of innocent Israelis and foreigners at a peace party...not after kidnapping and raping civilians and murdering them in cold blood.
Certainly not in Lebanon where Hezbollah need wiping out (along with Hamas) for their missiles striking israeli civilians and mass casualties of children.
Fully behind Israel -- terrible casualties but they need to eliminate the terrorists.
