I remember watching him as a kid play one game in particular , I think Bolton at goodison , and it was as good a performance I’ve ever seen from any Everton player of any player actually at goodison . I thought we had a generational talent and I suppose we did but first chance he got he was off down the 62 .

I don’t hate him , I feel privileged to have seen him come through and to dream of what he was going to do for but he , perfectly reasonably , chose glory at united . Fair enough but that choice makes you a united not an Everton one .

I would imagine he regrets not a single second mind but Everton legend , nope .

Dunc is a legend to me.

I mean its up to people who they consider legends.
There's something mythological about Duncan Ferguson. There even was when he was playing for us - especially so when he was injured and we couldn't wait for him to be back.

Which is in itself enough to make him a legend as far as I'm concerned.

Legend is bandied round far too much, for me.

The closest thing we've got to a legend in 20 years is Ferguson & Cahill. For what its worth, I love Dunc, but he's not a Legend.

The last Everton legend is Southall.
