Is that kiss goodbye to Moyes then? Who would you want if so?

doom and gloooooooom

what the hell?

We had an 8m player break down because of a medical and an expensive striker break down because of time/Seville. We haven't sold our best players...so what is the issue? January market is generally slow, and managers say they dont really like doing business then.

The doom and gloom is that apparently we had a bit of money to really strengthen the team for a top 4 push, and (for whatever reason) we haven't been able to do that.

Moyes wouldnt have given the board a list of targets a week ago, not arsed what anyone says. Absolutely pitiful offer for M'Vila by the way. [Poor language removed] Everton.

Who was a realistic target? You believe that there is no better midfielder in the world than Neville willing to come and play for one of the top clubs in the prem for 50k a week? We made a complete hash of the window. Again. And it's just not good enough.

sorry there, who was a realistic target as a striker ?.
A hash, don't really agree there, what there wasn't was a need to go out and spend money because it was burning a hole in the pocket, the squad is still good enough to compete for fourth place as it stands, like every club we need luck but it's a very good capable team thats lost only three games this season, why would a manager leave that

A few blues been saying this already. I thought the board would back him this window.

They did. It's not their fault Leroy Fer's knee wasn't up to par. It depends entirely on what you mean by 'backing Moyes'.

On the radio as of YESTERDAY, Moyes was gushing with praise about how Kenwright had found the money for him 'from somewhere' and how the board had backed him and how he was really pleased.

If we didn't sign a major acquisition today, it was because David Moyes did not want to spend what money he had at his disposal.

If Moyes has been as 'let down' as people seem to be saying, why would Moyes be so public with his gushing praise for Kenwright yesterday?

Moyes signed Stones, a kid for the future. Would he be arsed doing that if he was going in the summer?

I'm more convinced than ever that Moyes will sign a new EFC contract - provided certain jobs don't become available, i.e. Utd job or Arsenal job. Maybe City job. No-one else though, and I can't see Moyes leaving without another job to go to.

I don't think it's about Money I'm sure it helps of course. I think we offered Rooney at the time he left more money than what he got with his first contract with Man Utd and Arteta left us for a pay cut. These players left because they had ambition. If Moyes has any sort of ambition he has to go. While this club is under the current ownership we won't make champions league and challenge at the top.

It's not David's ambition that's the problem, IMHO. Trying to get us a trophy under the conditions we operate is pretty damn ambitious, I'd say.

Having a plan b is the boards fault absolutely

If you mean plan B in terms of playing targets, that is surely Moyes' responsibility?

The EFC Board has zillions of faults and are a total waste of space, but plan B playing targets are not their responsibility.

exactly

I'm just so frustrated we didn't get Fer, He looks a player and just what we need in my opinion. It will anger me if he goes onto great things. I think we will regret not signing him and taking the gamble.

Elstone 24 hours ago stated they were pursuing multiple targets. Sounds like they see it as their responsibility to me...not that they followed through like.
