Is that kiss goodbye to Moyes then? Who would you want if so?

I can understand people being disappointed tonight , I am myself. We still have a decent chance of 4th (obviously less than we would have had with Fer) But this thread is knee jerk. We're still in a good position and we have players back fit for the time being at least. Just take a step back and look at it. It's not that bad no matter how **** you think the board is.

the fact fans are so accepting that we're broke and "that's the way it is" does my head in.

What else should we be doing? You putting money into the club to buy a few world class players? If not what is wrong with not having much money at the moment. I'd rather be Everton and broke than QPR spending a fortune on players and wages only to be relegated and Arry having put another club into administration. Whats going on at QPR is wreckless, whats going on at Everton is good business sense.

Exactly the reasons why we needed to try to push on and give 4th a go

but we are.....As far as I can see we are pushing for 4th.given the previous 6 months we've easily competed with all the teams around us and 4th is a possibility.Gibson and Mirallas are back in the running ,if it's strengthening we were after then striker was an area it would have been nice, but honestly, who was a realistic target.
there's many clubs fans who would love to be as rubbish as us !!!,

We tried. A dodgy knee stopped one when a deal had been agreed and the other, a club wanting 20 million Euros for a player we were interested in thats a Spanish international. That and signing a young talented right back.

What more do you want?

At least we're not QPR????

Laughing. We could have Liverpool's, Spurs', Man City's money too.

What a perfect example of the board lowering expectations.

I think people underestimate the complete and utter control over first team matters that Moyes has at Everton. He will not get that at any other club in the world.

He won't sacrifice that control - mark my words, he signs his new contract.

Those suggesting he'd take the Chelsea job if offered need their heads checking. The definition of poisoned chalice if there ever was one. Moyes would end up chinning Abramovich and being sacked within six months.

Having money to spend isn't everything for a manager.

Even if he stays what's the point? Really what is the point?

We will never go down but we will never do anything, stuck in th realms of mediocrity with this board.

He leaves and the whole club crumbles and maybe we can start again without that liar, egotistical bell end in charge.

He keeps this club afloat, when he leaves hold on tight lads!

Once you reach a certain point it's not about the money any more, it's about the respect. He wants to win something with us, badly...it's not hard to see why. He's been afforded a luxury only 2 other managers have had in recent history as far as tenure and the freedom to run it his way. As it stands, he's only really failed in one aspect of his time here and I don't see him as the type of person to just let that ride without hitting rock bottom first. Really, he'd be stupid to go anywhere else...apart from trophies he's well on his way to a self-made dynasty, whether people like that assertion or not.

I hate some of the sh*t he does at times but I can't sit back and say he's really arsed up this club in any way. He wants a trophy on his terms and, for that to happen without any assertions to past managers or buying a trophy etc., he needs to do it here. He infuriates the [Poor language removed] out of me at times but I do respect what he's done, as a manager.

Now get on your horse, David...trophies to win.

Who was a realistic target? You believe that there is no better midfielder in the world than Neville willing to come and play for one of the top clubs in the prem for 50k a week? We made a complete hash of the window. Again. And it's just not good enough.

I don't think it's about Money I'm sure it helps of course. I think we offered Rooney at the time he left more money than what he got with his first contract with Man Utd and Arteta left us for a pay cut. These players left because they had ambition. If Moyes has any sort of ambition he has to go. While this club is under the current ownership we won't make champions league and challenge at the top.
