Is that kiss goodbye to Moyes then? Who would you want if so?

the issue I always find with this argument mate is he may well be the 11th best paid manager, but why is kenwright so keen to pay him that much to stay? could it be because he knows like everyone else that without moyes the standard of manager we could attract wouldnt do f all on kenwrights budget?

every other higher paid manager will be with clubs who have cash to spend and for the ones that dont will be in leagues where success isnt guaranteed by money, and its a shame the PL isnt one of those money brings success simples.

The problem I have with this argument is it assumes kenwright is a great footballing brain.

Hypothetical and i dont think it's about money for Moyes this time.

7th place given the finances the club has under this board is overachieving. We have underperformed in cups but you have to look at the players sometimes - i'm sure Moyes didnt tell them to go and play so poorly in the semi final last year. Luck plays a big part in the cups as well.

The Prem brings in the most money and obviously is the best paid league (generally) for players and managers. I dont really care if he's the 5th best paid or 300th best paid - he gets around the same as Heitinga - he earns it more than him, that's how i see it.

He earns more than any of our players and has pubically called for people in football to take pay cuts.

When our wage bill is 75% of our income, and completely unsustaniable, then yes I have a problem with out highest earener hypothetically getting a pay rise.

He's a good manager but he's not an elite one. And if we're going to pay him an elite wage then we should demand elite performances, and that's CL qualification, trophies and winning at anfield. Things that are really hard to do but you don't ask one of the best paid people in the world in their field to do tasks that are easy.

Trouble is mate too many think elite performance is 7th, no cups and humiliation at the shte hence the "10 more years" cry.

I dont think a pay rise is even on the agenda so i wouldnt worry about it. Moyes adds value to the club as well - Personally i think managers have every right to more money than the playing staff. I mean honestly if it was desperate that the club had to shave off 30k of wages a week, would you look at Moyes? He would literally be the last place i would go to make savings.

He'll be gone in the summer anyway, so we will see how many of Europe's elite managers put their names forward for the job.

He doesn't.

Are you seriously suggesting that Everton should be finishing higher than 7th place given the financial restraints the manager works under?

Is there anyone in the first team who's contract is about to expire that could potentially step into his shoes?
