Is it just me that sees the Chelsea game like the first game of the season?

Wish it was 1st game again honestly think we would have 7/9 points but also wish we werent playing the harlem globetrotters of football next week.

Nope.

It's because of draws against tosh that we should have snotted that we're now forced to win these type of games to keep tabs on the teams at the top. It's been a poor start to the season but the new signings should help us gain that ground back.

We have played 3 mediocre teams and not beaten any of them. That said, we haven't looked like losing to any of them either. Just haven't put chances away.
Defo points dropped.

We are Everton, we draw a lot these days.

Looking forward to when it all clicks into place!

A point at Cardiff is a good result, not many teams are going to go there and win this season, West Brom is the one maybe we should of won, 5 points from those first 3 games would of been a decent return. A win in one game that we really dont deserve to get anything from will address the balance, only 3 teams not unbeaten in the prem, to be honest i think because the ****e have done so well a lot of blues are being more negative then they should. Its not been great so far but its not all doom and gloom, with a new manager at the club we cant expect too much too soon

Season doesn't start til Lukaku gets his debut at West Ham, tbh.

In the meantime, keep thinking about reasons it doesn't really start until Fulham in the cup.

We were robbed at Cardiff, I put no blame at Martinez's door. And Norwich were ridiculously lucky.

The West Brom game was the one I was disappointed in. We dominated and were just so disappointing really.

So no, the season's under way and we're really not. But we better be soon.

As the title says, to me it feels like we are nearly a week away from the first game of the season. I appreciate the 3 points we already have but I genuinely feel like this is the major start and I hope Goodison Park is fierce on the day.

We have completed new signings and will be good to see them pull on the blue shirt for what I as our first win in the league and there's no better way to do it by beating Europa Cup champions, former champions league winners and constant title challengers. If we get the 3 points this will be massive! In my head its like a second beginning and I can't wait. I'm about as excited as I was for Norwich, counting down the days and I know we can beat them, I have a good feeling.

It'll be great to see McCarthy and Barry linking up and to see how well they work will Barkley, Deulofeu, Mirallas, Kone.

Get through the internationals without any injuries and then the season is back! 17:30 Kick off at Goodison Park, the whole world will be watching. Everton aren't we?

I have been thinking the same myself.

The transfer deadline day and the international break have detracted from the seaon opening proper and I am regarding next Saturday as the official starting gun being fired.
