can anyone else see us finish the season without winning another game? I pray i'm being overly pessimistic, but the only game we have left that i would have labeled a definite win is birmingham, and they seem to have good form at home at the moment (man city, tottenham, arsenal, and newcastle have all failed to win there). villa frequently seem to best us, last season they won and i'm not sure we'll do too much better, we salvaged draws against chelski and the arse last season but i'm not sure we'll be all that lucky this season. even newcastle who we trounced last season is starting to string together a bit of a run, who knows what condition both our clubs will be in at the end of the season when we meet.

its difficult to stomach, but i can honestly picture us finishing this season off without any more wins, maybe even all draws from our remaining fixtures. here's hoping i'm proven wrong :pint:

Can't blame you since we have been going pretty [Poor language removed] recently and almost fail to get 3 points off Derby

This is a easy fix problem, it should be sorted within 48 hours, once we taken 3 points off Birmingham, everything should be fine with you.

Yes, its just you...............get a grip of yourself. Plenty of points to be won, an we'll kick on again. (y)

We can definitely beat Villa and Newcastle at home, maybe even Chelsea. I think I worry more about us playing the lower sides like Brum because I know we'll usually give [Poor language removed] performances.

Christ

I'm ever the optimist when it comes to Everton. There's plenty of points for us to get. We should get a result against Birmingham, we'll beat Villa and Newcastle. And we always seem to up our game against the 'top' sides, so a couple of results in there too (y)

There are no gimmies in the final 5 games of thes season and given our recent form, we cant be overly confident. However, if we can improve our recent form and keep the likes of Johnson fit (and hopefully get Pienaar and Arteta back) we've got a chance of picking points up.

Got a feeling we may get something against Chelsea as well. We're due something against them

I think its just that on paper our last couple of matches looke like 3 points in the bank, and with fatigue maybe they werent up for the games as much as they should have. Give them a bigger team like Chelsea and Villa and I'm sure they'll buck their game up a bit.

Depending how results go this wekend will tell is an awfull lot about how motivated Chelsea and Arsenal in our games, it is a potentialy good time for us to play them.

We will definitely give, Brum, Villa and Newcastle a game im an anticipating two wins and a draw. Moyes makes a very good point we have got used to winninng with style this year but at this stage of the season when the players are tired its about grinding out results and digging depp rather then performences!

on the old toffeeweb forum i started a thread showing stats of moyes' last 5 games and it is shockingly poor. for what ever reason since he came to everton we have averaged one win from the last 5 games for the last 5 years.

perhaps we are always just so fooked after a long hard season..

I think that's probably it.

With such a small squad the season finally catches up on us and we crawl to the finishing line.

Hopefully a few more new faces in the summer should put a stop to that.

I'd love to find the post I made when the fixture list came out where I said that our last four are gonna make or break our season.

I still believe that and am a bit concerned based on our current form.

Frankly, I think our tank is close to being on empty.

I think were all geting restless with 1-0 wins over weak teams but its the points that counts. I love to see us playing Everton football again though.

I still think we'll take at least eight more points. Birmingham will be tough, so maybe a draw there, but I'm confident we'll turn Villa over at home. We're also good enough to get a result against a tired Chelsea side. I have a bit of a concern over Newcastle but I'm confident fifth is ours.

11 points from the last 5 games. 3 wins, 2 draws.

And yes, It is just you. hahaha

I'm hoping for 10 points, 3 wins and draw and loss somewhere along the way. Hopefully that will be enough to see the RS buckle and us nab 4th spot.
