Is Clockwork Orange the greatest British movie ever?

I like the first half of Clockwork Orange because the music is great, the dialogue great, some good humour and a nice bit of biff. The mind control stuff in the second half was just a bit dull.

For me Kubrick's best film was Dr Strangelove.
 

From a poncey artistic point of view probably, from the point of view of the average lid like me watching it NAH.

Trainspotting is better, I'd say.
 

This is England is up there for me too.

If.... which has also got Malcolm McDowell in it is boss. The way he carries himself as Alex in A Clockwork Orange is actually based on a scene in If....
