Is Clockwork Orange the greatest British movie ever?

In terms of music, message, script, cinematography I watched it again on sky and its just unbelievably good.

Compare it to the matrix, avatar its lol. yes we have become small-minded people that want comedy due to stresses of life but it has affected the overall quality of movies and I doubt clockwork orange would be made in todays climate.

Clockwork orange is thought provoking, out of character for the era, for that reason is groundbreaking.

best? Possibly not, but up there with the best.

This - I had to watch it at uni. I fell asleep. I also had to watch Basic Instinct. I didn't fall asleep during that. Make of that what you will.
