Yes, Besic and Gibson means stronger in central midfield for certain.
Barkley has a full season under his belt and Naismith has his confidence back, added to that Stones is now an established first team player.
Numbers wise were minus delofeou and traore with only Besic in..

That's a good point. Players know the system. They've had more chance to buy into Martinez's way of thinking. Young players are continuing to develop and improve

The whole team will be boosted by the permanent signings and contract renewals. We are being linked with some good players, for the first time in years it seems decent players actually want to play for us. We have broken are record transfer fee, we may spend more. We have a team that have played a season together. We are stronger than 12 months ago I'm sure. Only problem is a few other teams will be stronger also this season.

I don't think squad wise we have strengthened a great deal,I'd still like to see another striker and keeper brought in as they are definitely to weak spots if there are injuries,but I think we are a lot more confident plus the younger players know they will get a chance rather than just be there to make up the numbers,as for teams around us they were always going to improve their squads

Yes. Besic adds a much needed central midfielder, we will get Atsu or a winger which will replace Deulofeu.
Numbers wise, we will be the same.
You know what you get with Barry, but players like Stones, McCarthy, Barkley, Rom will all improve too as they play more.
I've no doubt our squad is better than last seasons. We are going to be amazing in a few seasons.

besic and a healthy gibbo will make a big difference in the squad. barry started to look like he was running on fumes to the end and now we can rotate. Like others have said we still need a winger and another striker but other than that we're fine. Im sure RM will use 2-3 loans, he loves the system

I've got a sneaky feeling that with a years experience under their belt and with them now adjusted to Bobbys tactics that we could be a real force this season. A front 4 of Mirallas, Barkley, Atsu and Romelu is pretty [Poor language removed] great and has McCarthy and Barry keeping things steady and feeding them balls. Meanwhile at the back Coleman, Jags, Distin and Baines are already top players but we also have Stones and Garbutt emerging in to the first team to varying degrees plus possibly Kenny. We have an electrifying attack with a solid base, could be a great season.
