filled with absolute confidence going into the new season? I believe we can challenge right up with the best teams with a few more additions (which I'm positive we'll get). Also, going far in the Europa is on the cards too because I think we will take it serious unlike Spurs in the last couple of seasons etc. Another run in the FA Cup will be appreciated because getting to Wembley and finally winning another trophy would be a dream come true.

Another thing is all of the players seem to have a drive and determination about them now and when asked what are there goals for next season I hear 'To finish 1st' etc. Something that Bobby has instilled into them.

Keeping hold of McCarthy is vital as it emphasises we are NOT a selling club and want to challenge at the highest level. If he goes (I don't believe he will) then the optimism will be sucked out of the fans and things could feel a bit flat.

The crowd will also be key next season home and away. I don't need to emphasise how good our away fans are (best in the prem) but Goodison can be at times flat against the 'lower' opposition so the crowd definitely need to be behind the team and acting like the 12th man.

Signing players like Rom is also something I haven't experienced for a while and under Moyes we would never have got him even on loan, so let's all thank Bob for that one and also Bill.

Can't wait for the new season, looking forward to good things.

Oddly enough i tried talking Football to a few reds mates tonight in town but they didnt want to know, it got me thinking that while we are more confident i think other clubs are going to be looking at us as far more of a threat then ever before in the Premiership era.
Our expectation level is sky high right now, and it should be. We have no get out clause this season if it dosent go our way, none of this running home to bump the thread about the board when we get beat.

One thing i am thinking is that next season is going to be far more competative at the top end, to do as well as we did last year i do think we are going to have to be better, but we have a squad better than we could of dreamed of 18 months ago, run by and a manager better than anything a lot of us have witnessed and its going to be fantastic!!

This is when Rotation becomes important. It keeps the squad hungry.

Never been more relaxed with the season 2 weeks away.

Obviously more business to be done, Atsu will be added before the season starts by the look of it and another striker brought in on deadline day IMO, maybe others too.

Add Gibson coming back and Kone and Oviedo a bit later and this means we have enough quality to approach August to the end of January

Can't wait for the new season now.

Yes. There's a hidden strength that people can't see.

Its the 8 youngsters that are going to have an impact particularly later in the season.

They'll allow us to stay fresher too

This coming season I expect us to be in contention for a c/l spot,with the signing of Lukaku,Besic and Barry,with the emergence of likes of Ryan Ledson and luke garbutt plus the return from injury of Oviedo
We can also expect to see further signings before this window closes, as Roberto has stated we are in the market for another striker and a couple of wingers.
We shall see,quietly confident here.

Yes we are definitely stronger, we have got Barry and Lukaku permanently. Barkley on a new contract.We have Gibson, Kone, Alcaraz and Oviedo all fit or nearing fitness. We have signed Besic. We supposedly have or will have the young belgium Striker Henen + Atsu on Loan, maybe Traore might come back also. I can see us making one or two more additions + we have the youth players. Can't wait for this season.
