Is 7th and "Net Spend" The Only Reason To Keep Moyes

Well clearly he is. Last few years averaging around 7/8th, we're 6th, so everyone below us bar poss Lpool/Ncastle would be 12 teams, leaving us 8th.

I was taking the p1ss as the quotes seemed to contradict themselves accompanied by the actual finishes achieved in the league. It wasnt so long ago we were toughing it out with Villa for fifth. How things change in what - 3 seasons?

Its sometimes is fruitless exercise debating with the pro-moyes brigade, round and round we go over and over and so forth. The plain fact of the matter is they are happy/content to stay as we are.

Lol, I guess I can see how the open minded and reasonable anti Moyes brigade would see it that way;)

Also you are wrong about the bold bit, we just don't want to change for the worse or for the sake of it.

You did.

Listen, Ashley has lumped over £150M of his own cash into funding NUFC & he's not taken a bean out. He might be a tasteless Cockney, but I'd take him over Kenwright & his penniless regime anyday of the week, as at least he's both willing & able to fund his own business

You realise with it being a loan, that he wants it back at some point right? So in reality he’s only ‘giving’ the difference between what the interest would be and how much he can appreciate the business with the £150m. On a smaller level look at a club like Tranmere, Peter Johnson ‘invested’ money in them, it didn’t work out, he wants his money back, no one is prepared to pay it and the club is stuck on running on the ‘smallest’ budget in their division.

Kenwright may not be the answer, but I’m not convinced that Ashley is either.

It's not just the amount of players though, it's the price of the players. Fair enough usually when you change managers some players will be shown the door and some will come in, but those replacements are still costing way more than Moyes could dream of spending.

Look at what Liverpool have done since Rodgers has joined, spunked £50m on mostly crap.

Spurs since AVB, they spent multiple double digit sums on players.

Even if less players had been purchased, those other players still would have cost much more than what Moyes can generally spend on a player.

AVB has a net spend of less than £5m at Spurs according to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk.

Modric and Van Der Vaart helped fund the purchases of Vertongen, Dembele and Lloris.

I didn't say net spend mate. I said they've spent double digit sums on individual players. Look at the context of the bit you quoted ;)

But surely your Spurs example is similar to if Moyes sold Fellaini and Baines this Summer. He could effectively replace 2 double digit players with 3.

Even looking at the context of your post it still doesn’t add up. ;)

You're making no sense lad!

Ashley has presided over:

- The cockney mafia years
- Relegation
- Selling of star player
- Giving Pardew an 8 year contract
- Calling the St James Park, the Sports Direct Arena
- net spending of - (MINUS) £19m

For the love of God how can you say any of that is positive?

There's no point holding on for Moyes when he doesn't want to be here.

It's not about wanting change it's going to happen. Sooner rather than later.
