Perfect scenario is liverpool 4th united champ league winners.
United aren't finishing 4th for a number of reasons, mainly because a win for ourselves in our game in hand and beat them at goodison will effectively end their season as the gap will be too big. I can't see them suddenly becoming the form team of the league just because they beat Olympiakos, which is something i think everyone thinks all of a sudden.
Said it for weeks as well, Liverpool are in the champs league next year no matter what. They are finishing 3rd, minus chelsea or city handing them the title. Realistically we are catching Arsenal, and spurs before them if we want it but we need to consider the following;
1. Beat newcastle / palace + arsenal to close the gap right down.
2. Win the other 6 games because i can guarantee Arsenal will run in mostly maximum points in the final 6 games of the season.
3. Hope for Arsenal to dop even more points against City and the like whilst our winning run extends to 10 games by May.
Very unrealistic and personally my aim for this season is above and a gap between us and spurs which is very much doable.
for all the moaners about our performances, so what? A win is a win and its 3 points. Better to play bad and win then play well and lose.
