Didn't expect to see that iraq parliamentary resolution to be honest. Will they kick out the financial aid too? can they self sustain?
Somebody from the USA said today if they throw out the troops they will face sanctions, with the damage done to the country over the last few years i doubt it could self sustain.
Saying that the current government there is friendly to Iran, so the USA might be inclined to use this situation to disentangle themselves from the situation there?

The sooner we go to purely electric engines is the day we can get out of there. If there is one argument in favour of electrification this is it....

They don’t really do solemn or respectful in the same way that we do, do they. It highlights the difficulties in attempting to understand and communicate with one another.......

Oh well, we still have North Sea Oil. The USA has oil and Russia has oil. China may be a bit miffed when Trump wipes Irans oil off the map, but they are leading the way in solar. Iran will definitely be a bit miffed when it no longer exists. It’s been a long time coming but we might as well stop messing around and just carve up the Middle East, give the major players a piece each and get rid of these ayatollah’s.....the world will be safer.....

this should be good....
Shut up, Pete.

Trump's action has resulted in pulling Iraq closer to Iran. Something the US foreign policy always tried to stop. It will become a formidable force in the region.
That's been happening ever since Saddam was deposed, the realisation of a Persian empire became reality once his regime fell. But how wierd the only others celebrating this general death as loud as Trump and @peteblue are ISIS, death cults become ever more subjective.

Furthermore, Turkey is being pushed closer to Iran and Russia by Trump. US allies Saudi Arabia and Israel are looking more and more exposed.

green energy certainly the way to go in the future no argument from me there Pete,
i was listening to something the other day on the radio about the petrodollar, its presently one of the few times in history that we have discovered more new oil fields around the world than we can use for the foreseeable future, not financially worth their while drilling for it at the moment as iol stocks around the world are high.

Well why should they? It's their part of the world, their culture. Is it our imperial past that causes people to reject or ridicule anything not done "our way".
Its even bigger problem for the merry cans, they expect the whole world to have the same mindset as themselves.

I wasn’t being critical, I was just pointing out the differing cultural approaches as a suggestion for the difficulty in understanding between all parties.....

So America is being kicked out of Iraq. Collosal waste of time being there, nothing to show for it except wasted money and dead soldiers.

Also apparently the Iranian general was only in Iraq because the US asked the Iraqi government to mediate with him. Seems scummy to bait someone into another country just to kill them.
Not the first time they've done it, they sold out Gaddafi , I'd trust am email from a Nigerian prince before the us government.

Nothing difficult to understand. It’s not a cultural language barrier. It’s a I want power, resources and influence so screw you, barrier.
