If I won the Euromillions, I wouldn't invest a penny in Everton FC. We have the worst senior management team in World Football. Operations, strategic planning, marketing, accounting, selling (to investors)

Would you trust Bob-a-job Elstone or that board with your money?

Football clubs should not require a billionaire but should be based on a sustainable model where they are self sufficient.

on a practical point, I don't think a Euromillions win would be enough to buy the shares and clear the debt anyway... you'd need to do both that, and still have enough money to add to the squad and fund a new stadium (or rebuild).

though you are correct that there should be a clearout of the business management.

every time you buy merchandise and go to a game you are investing in the club (or is it just giving money?). You have a point. The only way I would invest in the way you mean is to buy the club outright, sack Elstone, and ditch Kitbag and Nike. Thing is, unless you have the money to buy the club, clear the debt and then bankroll the club for a few years, it's kind of a moot point
