Yeah, if they got 10 points deducted tomorrow it wouldn’t actually mean they have 10 points deducted, it would be subject to an appeal process that will go on until April. So we wouldn’t be able to bank on them being that many points worse off, we’d just have to treat it as if they were going to get them all back on appeal. Boring is absolutely the correct word. It’s not sport.

If the Premier League was run like the Football League it wouldn't be the case. Very rare that their points deductions are challenged as they have clear rules. The Premier League is run for the benefit of a few clubs at the top however and so they fail to have clear rules and land themselves in hit water constantly.

Fook em, I hope they get points; whatever helps our survival tbh. Plus, if they sort out the farce of their nullified deduction last season, then dump THAT on top of this seasons points too - like the double jeopardy WE received off them.

In principle, I agree with you. In reality, and to ensure some kind of rebalancing of the injustice we suffered, I hope the book is thrown at Leicester.

We got 10 points - later reduced to 8 - when Forest got half that punishment for an even greater transgression, financially. We were hung out to dry, and clubs like Leicester were threatening to sue us.

Let's not be patsies, here. Throw the book at the cheats.

Spot on. As i recall, Leicester were one of those clubs that jumped in and twisted the knife even further wanting to sue us. Definitely screw them and anyone else. None of them cared when it happened to us.

Agreed. We were stupid, badly run, got substantially worse, and did have some genuine mitigations. Forest were very cheeky, knowingly broke the rules by deliberately breaching but selling a player for a higher fee shortly after - 100% rule break but actually did the correct thing for their own profit and sustainability!!

Leicester knowingly breached , submitted late and fell between the jurisdictions of the two leagues. Their limit this year will be lower after a year in the Championship, so will try exactly the same trick again if they go down. And if they do go down will probably get punished for overspending in 23/24 by the EFL.

All clubs guilty, but they’re the most egregious and duplicitous. And I’d think the PL will be far more aggressive in penalising them; they certainly won’t get any brucie bonus cooperation points as they tried to not submit accounts to the PL.
